London Diamond Bourse puts education at the heart of September programme
Three specialist courses will bring practical diamond and gemstone education to Hatton Garden throughout September
The London Diamond Bourse (LDB) is placing education firmly at the centre of its September programme, with three specialist one day courses designed to strengthen practical knowledge, commercial confidence and understanding across the diamond and coloured gemstone sectors.
Taking place in the heart of Hatton Garden, the programme brings together three distinct areas of industry education: coloured gemstones, practical diamond knowledge and diamond manufacturing.
Beginning on 22 September with Selling Coloured Gemstones with Confidence, a course designed to give participants greater confidence when discussing, presenting and selling coloured gemstones. Presented by Shaheen Bandukwalla, an expert gemmology consultant and educator, the course focuses on developing practical knowledge that can be applied directly in a retail, buying or client-facing environment.
On 24 September, the Bourse will host its Practical Diamond Knowledge Course, presented by renowned rough and polished diamond industry specialist, Craig Sievewright. Offering a hands-on approach to understanding diamonds, the course is designed to develop the core practical skills needed to better assess, understand and discuss diamonds with confidence.
The programme concludes on 30 September with the Diamond Manufacturing Course, also presented by Craig Sievewright, giving attendees an insight into the journey of a diamond from rough to polished. Participants will explore the decisions, processes and techniques involved in transforming a rough diamond into a finished polished stone, helping to build a deeper understanding of the product and the wider diamond pipeline.
The three-course programme forms part of the London Diamond Bourse’s wider commitment to supporting education and professional development across the jewellery and diamond trade.

All three courses will take place at the London Diamond Bourse, Hatton Garden, London, and will run from 10:00am, to 16:00pm. All participants will receive a specialised kit, including Loupe, tweezers and cloth, along with a certificate of completion at the end of the course.
