On the second day of its official mission to India, the Angolan delegation led by Elton Escrivão, Director of Marketing at ENDIAMA-EP, continued with an intense program of activities aimed at strengthening cooperation in the diamond subsector.
Among the main highlights of the day, the delegation's participation in technical presentations promoted by the IGI (International Gemological Institute), one of the world's most renowned entities in diamond certification and evaluation, stands out.
The sessions allowed an exchange of knowledge on international certification, traceability and technological innovation standards applied to the segment.
The delegation also made fact-finding visits to various diamond jewelry exhibitor stands, focusing on analyzing Asian market trends, value-added jewelry design, and potential outlets for Angolan production.
He also held a working meeting with the management of GJEPC (Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council), the organization responsible for promoting Indian exports of precious stones and jewelry.
Concluding the day, the delegation visited the IDTC (India Diamond Trading Center) facilities, located at the prestigious Bharat Diamond Bourse, one of the largest diamond trading platforms in the world.
The official mission is part of the ongoing efforts of ENDIAMA-EP, Catoca and Luele to strengthen Angola's institutional presence in international diamond subsector forums, promoting a more strategic, modern and integrated approach to the national industry.
