Angola's Endiama E.P and Sodiam E.P signed a historic collaboration agreement with Antwerp World Diamond centre [AWDC] marking a New Era for rough diamonds mined in Angola. This agreement comes at the wake of Facets Diamond conference recently organised in Antwerp and attended by heads of mining economies, stakeholders from the diamond supply chain and companies providing traceability solutions.
The agreement cements mutual agreement to strengthen trade relations between the two economies related to Rough Diamonds and promoting transparency and traceability for Angolan Diamonds that ultimately will showcase a positive impact of diamonds on local communities. The agreement also describes support from Antwerp on capacity building with professional training and technical knowhow. The agreement is destined to boost the profile of Angolan diamonds in key buying markets world wide. Angola in the near future might also become a third node for establishing a G7 verification point like Botswana.
The partnership highlights the shared vision of Angola and Antwerp to drive innovation, sustainability and growth in the diamond industry.
