West Coast Jewelry Organizations to Host Trading Event and 6th Annual Mega Mixer in Los Angeles

The Aug. 24 full-day sourcing event builds on the success of last year’s Trading Day, while the sixth annual Mega Mixer expands its industry collaboration to 10 jewelry organizations.

The Los Angeles jewelry community is preparing for a full day of business, sourcing, and networking on Aug. 24, as the Diamond Club West Coast and its industry partners bring back two of the jewelry community’s most anticipated collaborative events: the Los Angeles Jewelry Trading Event and the 6th Annual Mega Mixer formerly known as Summer Soirée.

The Diamond Club West Coast (DCWC), Indian Diamond & Colorstone Association (IDCA), and Jewelers of America (JA) will host the Los Angeles Jewelry Trading Event, with sponsorship support from IGI, Polygon, and IJC.

The trading event will take place Aug. 24 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Diamond Club West Coast office at 550 S. Hill St., Suite 1600, in Downtown Los Angeles.

The event will bring qualified buyers, retailers, suppliers, and industry professionals together under one roof to buy, sell, source, and network. Exhibitors will showcase diamonds, gemstones, pearls, contemporary and vintage/estate jewelry, watches, and industry services, allowing attendees to discover new inventory, exclusive deals, and new business connections.

The decision to bring the Trading Event back to Los Angeles was driven in large part by last year’s success, which attracted more than 200 attendees from across the jewelry industry. The strong response demonstrated the demand for a dedicated local trading platform where buyers and sellers could meet face-to-face and conduct business.

Admission to the Los Angeles Jewelry Trading Event is free for qualified buyers and industry trade professionals. Pre-registration is required for all attendees. Final approval is subject to verification and vetting by the organizers. To register for the Trading Event, click here.

From a Small Industry Mixer to a 10-Organization Gathering

The trading event will be followed that evening by the 6th Annual Mega Mixer, taking place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Elevate Lounge in Downtown Los Angeles.

What began as a gathering of just three or four jewelry organizations has grown into a major collaborative networking event bringing together 10 jewelry organizations from across the Southern California jewelry community and beyond.

The Mega Mixer is sponsored by Krainz Creations and Jewelers Mutual Group, whose support is helping bring together professionals and organizations from across the jewelry industry for an evening dedicated to networking and community.

The expansion reflects the growing spirit of collaboration within the Los Angeles jewelry community, with organizations setting aside competition to create opportunities for their members to connect, build relationships, and strengthen the industry as a whole.

Members of the participating organizations can attend the Mega Mixer free of charge when they pre-register.

Pre- Registration for both events closes August 21 afternoon PST.

The evening gathering will provide a more relaxed setting for jewelry professionals to continue conversations from the trading floor, meet colleagues from other organizations, and build new relationships across different segments of the industry. Together, the two events are designed to create a complete day of business, sourcing, networking, and community, starting with a high-energy trading environment in the morning and afternoon and ending with an industry-wide celebration in the evening.

With the Trading Event expected to draw buyers and sellers from throughout the country and the Mega Mixer bringing together members of 10 jewelry organizations, Aug. 24 is shaping up to be a significant day for the Los Angeles jewelry industry.
