The Vicenza Symposium Announces the Dates of Its Second Edition
- From 31 August to 2 September 2027, Vicenza will host the second edition of the international technical and scientific symposium dedicated to the hi-tech and luxury jewellery industry. This edition will take place ahead of the September edition of Vicenzaoro
- Applications for speakers at the event are open from 3 August to 14 September 2026
The Vicenza Symposium returns from 31 August to 2 September 2027. This international scientific event focuses on the manufacturing technologies and trends of fine jewellery and fashion accessories. It will bring together professionals, researchers and companies from around the globe in Vicenza. In the city that has made jewellery one of the symbols of its identity, the doors reopen to those who design, produce and imagine the future of the sector.
Building on the success of the inaugural event in 2025, which welcomed professionals, researchers, and companies from over 15 countries, the second edition of The Vicenza Symposium is set to be an even greater success. It has firmly established itself as one of the few international gatherings where direct exchange, the sharing of expertise, and dialogue between industry, research, and innovation take centre stage.
At the heart of that dialogue lies the relationship between the art of craftsmanship and technology. During the Symposium, the themes shaping the sector's future will be explored.
The Vicenza Symposium precedes the September opening of Vicenzaoro, the Italian Exhibition Group's leading international jewellery, goldsmithing and watchmaking fair, together with T.Gold, the international event dedicated to goldsmithing machinery and the most innovative gold and jewellery technologies.
The Symposium that sets the stage for these themes, opening the conversation with three days of high-level technical and scientific insight. Anyone who has conducted original research — whether on a new alloy, process, technology or innovative solution — is welcome to present their work. They can apply to speak at the event and share their projects with the international industry community.
To apply, submit a written technical and scientific contribution in English, with no promotional purpose, by 14 September 2026 at https://thevicenzasymposium.com/be-a-speaker/
Applicants will also be asked to complete a short supplementary questionnaire and to attach their curriculum vitae in PDF format.
All proposals are assessed by an International Scientific Committee comprising some of the most authoritative figures in goldsmithing research and manufacturing: Damiano Zito (Chairman & CEO, Progold S.p.A.), alongside Massimo Poliero (President & CEO, Legor Group) and Eddie Bell, Honorary President.
Selected speakers will be invited to present their contribution in English during The Vicenza Symposium 2027.
"The Vicenza Symposium is now an internationally recognised event for those working in jewellery and fashion accessories," says Damiano Zito, President of The Vicenza Symposium. "It is one of the few settings in which companies, research centres and young talents come together to share data and expertise. It is a place of practical work, where technology, expertise and craftsmanship come together to meaningfully contribute to the definition of sector standards."
“The Vicenza Symposium shows what can be achieved when companies, research institutions, associations and organisers collaborate with a shared vision”, says Matteo Farsura, Global Exhibition Manager of IEG’s Jewellery & Fashion division. “This model is based on collaboration and the ability to forge connections between expertise, technologies and markets, strengthening the international competitiveness of the entire jewellery and fashion accessories supply chain while promoting an ecosystem of excellence and innovation, centred in Vicenza”.
"Vicenza is recognised all over the world for its ability to transform expertise, innovation and tradition into excellence, as demonstrated by the international standing of its goldsmithing sector. It is this same spirit that drives The Vicenza Symposium and shapes its evolution. It brings together technologies, expertise and strategic vision into dialogue within a constantly evolving market," says Massimo Poliero, President & CEO of Legor Group. "It is through knowledge sharing and collaboration that Made in Italy can continue to be a global point of reference in technological excellence applied to goldsmithing and jewellery."
