Jewellery & Gem ASIA

Jewellery & Gem ASIA (JGA), Asia's premier mid-year jewellery sourcing event, opened its doors today at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), welcoming thousands of buyers and industry professionals from across the globe.

Organised by Informa Markets, the four-day trade exhibition has brought together more than 1,100 exhibitors from around 30 countries and regions, showcasing an extensive range of finished jewellery, diamonds, coloured gemstones, pearls, and manufacturing solutions. Spread across over 30 international and group pavilions, the event once again reinforces Hong Kong's position as a leading global hub for the jewellery trade.

From the early hours of opening day, exhibition halls witnessed strong buyer traffic, with retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers, designers, and sourcing professionals actively exploring new products, establishing business connections, and identifying emerging market opportunities.

Speaking ahead of the event, Celine Lau, Director of Jewellery Fairs at Informa Markets, highlighted the importance of JGA as a platform that brings together the global jewellery community at the midpoint of the year, enabling businesses to connect, collaborate, and source products from across the supply chain under one roof.

Hall 1 showcased a diverse range of finished jewellery collections, from timeless classics to contemporary statement pieces, while Hall 3 featured an extensive selection of diamonds, coloured gemstones, pearls, and loose materials from leading international suppliers. The Fine Design/Fine Gem Pavilion also attracted considerable attention from buyers seeking exceptional craftsmanship and rare gems.

Beyond sourcing, visitors participated in knowledge-sharing sessions and industry discussions hosted at The Stage, providing insights into market trends, consumer behaviour, and business strategies shaping the future of the jewellery sector.

With strong international participation from both exhibitors and buyers, the opening day reflected renewed optimism and continued confidence in the global jewellery industry's long-term growth prospects.

JGA 2026 will continue through June 21 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, offering industry stakeholders further opportunities to network, discover new products, and build business relationships ahead of the important second half of the year.
