African Diamond Producers Association (ADPA) officially inaugurates its 20th-anniversary campaign

The African Diamond Producers Association (ADPA) officially inaugurated its 20th-anniversary campaign, ADPA@20, at the 2026 Mining Indaba. Under the theme “Twenty years of Empowering the Brilliance of African Diamonds: One voice, One vision,” the launch marks two decades of African leadership, cooperation, and collaboration in the diamond sector

Since 2006, ADPA has been the primary advocate for Africa’s diamond-producing nations. The Association continues to promote:

  • Beneficiation: Maximising local value addition across the continent.
  • Responsible Sourcing: Ensuring diamonds contribute to sustainable development.
  • Compliance: Protecting the integrity and value of natural diamonds on the world stage.

Hon. Julius Daniel Mattai, Chairman of the ADPA Council of Ministers, hailed the organisation’s progress: “We honour the resilience of our Member States and reaffirm our commitment to a unified, innovative, and sustainable industry.”

ADPA@20 campaign will feature a year-long program of events, culminating in a celebration on 4 November 2026. This milestone event will gather global industry leaders to chart the future of Africa’s diamond sector.
