In a landmark move that fuses Italian heritage, cutting-edge innovation, and a deep commitment to sustainability, Bulgari has inaugurated the Manifattura Bulgari — now the world’s largest jewellery manufacturing facility, spanning a massive 33,000 square meters in Valenza, Italy.
Strategically nestled in Italy’s historic goldsmith district, the state-of-the-art facility embodies the Maison’s vision for the future: doubling its production capacity by 2029 and shaping the next generation of artisans.
At the heart of this vision lies Scuola Bulgari, the brand’s first public educational centre. This real-world academy aims to promote “savoir-faire” — the mastery of craft — by blending traditional goldsmithing techniques with modern, innovative methodologies. Scuola Bulgari will not only train over 500 new craftsmen in the coming years but will also open its doors to new talent, offering foundational courses that preserve and evolve artisanal excellence.
More than a factory, Manifattura Bulgari is a symbol of sustainability and self-sufficiency. The facility is powered entirely by 100% renewable energy, integrating geothermal systems and photovoltaic installations that together fulfil up to 50% of the plant's energy needs. This commitment reinforces Bulgari’s position as a leader in responsible luxury and environmental stewardship.
By centralising its entire production — from raw material sourcing to final creation — Bulgari gains complete control over quality, innovation, and traceability, setting new benchmarks for the global jewellery industry.
As Bulgari continues to honour its Roman roots while looking ahead to a more sustainable and skilled future, Manifattura Bulgari stands as a testament to the enduring power of craftsmanship, education, and vision-driven leadership.
