World Diamond Mark Foundation generates lots of hype with Valerie Messika's Victoria Collier at Istanbul Jewelry Show
The World Diamond Mark Foundation (WDMF) took to the stage during the recent Istanbul Jewelry Show, with the public presentation of the Victoria Collier, a creation by Messika Joaillerie of Paris that features a 60.06 carat, fancy intense yellow diamond. The diamond, set in a delicate platinum frame that suggests that the stone is almost floating in its setting, drew the attention of many thousands of visitors that came through halls 6 and 7 of the show, during the March 12-15 at Istanbul's exhibition centre.   more
Belgian Court Order Executed As Diamonds Return To Zimbabwe
The final installment of 500,000 carats of seized diamonds with an estimated value of a little under $29 million has finally been returned to Zimbabwe, bringing a complicated dispute to a close. Denying an attempt by a South African mining company to attach diamonds to an unrelated case against the State of Zimbabwe, a Belgian Court of First Instance ruled that the diamonds in question were not in fact the property of the State but the property of the Zimbabwean mining companies that produced them.  more
