The first-ever association representing the lab grown diamond companies now has members from across eight countries
2016 CIBJO Congress to take place in Yerevan, Armenia, October 26-28
CIBJO, the World Jewellery Confederation, will hold its 2016 annual congress in Yerevan, Armenia, October 26-28, 2016, with pre-congress meetings on October 24 and 25.

The International Grown Diamond Association (IGDA), an industry-wide association formed by diamond growers, lab-grown diamond distributors, suppliers, retailers and technical experts, is pleased to welcome 8 new members since its launch in February. Numined Diamonds, Fair Trade Jewellery Co., The Gold Concept Jewelry and Design, Caraxy, M. Geller, Schubach Enterprises, D.NEA and DM Gems India are now IGDA members.
IGDA, which was launched in February, was founded by more than 10 leading lab-grown diamond producers, distributors, retailers and technical experts. The first ever lab-grown diamond industry association intends to represent the lab-grown diamond industry,promotelab-grown diamonds as a new choice and educate about various unique qualities and applications of lab-grown diamonds.

Nepal International gem and Jewellery Expo Launched
The Nepal International Gem and Jewellery Expo was launched with much fanfare here at the Yak and Yeti Hotel recently. The Prime Minister H.E. Mr. KP Sharma Oli opened the Expo lighting a lamp and congratulated the delegates and exhibitors for their participation. In his address he also stressed the fact that Nepalese gems and Jewellery Industry is looking to expand its sector and attract buyers for the Indigenous jewellery from far and wide. He stressed on the point of highlighting the Art and culture of Nepal through the jewellery that is manufactured and added that with time this will have high demand in the domestic as well as the International Market. TGJTA Readies to Host the Thailand Gems & Jewelry Fair 2016
The Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association (TGJTA) recently proudly unveilled the Thailand Gems & Jewelry Fair 2016, to be held from September 7 to 11, 2016 at Impact Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok.
The Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association (TGJTA) was established with the aim of supporting and promoting Thailand’s gem and jewelry industry. The industry is ranked third within the country in terms of export value, generating 371 billion baht (US$10.6 billion) worth of exports in 2015. Part of the TGJTA’s strategy is to support and promote the kingdom’s gem and jewelry industry alongside tourism, through encouraging visitors to take gems and jewelry back to their home countries at the end of their visit.   more
