IDE and ALROSA sign MoU to advance closer cooperation

Israel's president, Reuven Rivlin, hosts ALROSA delegation in Jerusalem
The Israel Diamond Exchange and Russian diamond producer ALROSA, the world's largest diamond producer, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) recently, as the Israeli diamond industry and trade and the Russian mining giant seek to improve their mutual understanding and increase cooperation between the two parties.

MoU was signed on 2nd day of the International Diamond Week in Israel by delegation head Andrey Polyakov, ALROSA vice president, and IDE president Shmuel Schnitzer. Following the ceremony, the ALROSA delegation and representatives of the Israel diamond industry and trade made their way to Jerusalem for a reception and meeting with Israel's president Reuven Rivlin, who hosted the parties at the official presidential residence.

Grand Opening of Panama Diamond Exchange, April 27-30, to be highlighted by Latin American Diamond & Jewelry Week

It was a standing room only at the Israel Diamond Exchange complex, when leaders of the World Jewelry Hub, the Free Zone which houses the Panama Diamond Exchange, presented what was described by Israel Diamond Exchange President Shmuel Schnitzer as "one of the most important developments currently underway in the international diamond and jewelry market, and a path toward our future," the establishment in Panama of the industry's only dedicated trading center in Latin America.

The late afternoon event attracted more than 200 industry professionals, who are participating in the International Diamond Week, which is being hosted by the Israel Diamond Exchange, in cooperation with the Diamond Dealers Club of New York and the Antwerp Diamond Bourse. More
