The Advanced Course for Laboratory Gemmologists is designed for those who are regularly testing gemstones or are buying gemstones from whole sellers. It lays stress on Synthetic Flux and Hydrothermal Rubies and Emeralds, Alexandrite, synthetic Quartz of different colours as well as colour changing Cubic Zirconia.  Course also deals with the Lead Glass treatment, Beryllium treatment, Flux treatment, Diffusion treatments, treated Corundum of various colours, Emerald treatments, as well as treated Feldspars. Participants have many interactive sessions to solve their personal problems encountered in their day to day work.

SeamEdu ‘s Institute of Gem& Jewellery, Pune  successfully organized an intensive course exclusively for Laboratory Gemmologists in the country. Among the participants were gemmologists like Mr. Debajit Goswami of Ratnapariksha Gem Testing Laboratory came from Guwahati,  Assam, Mr. Jose George from the Diamond Hall Marking centre came from Thrissur, Kerala, Mr. Rajesh Jain from Hyderabad Institute of Gem & Jewellery Pvt. Ltd., Manish Jain Dhanawat from GemTesting Laboratory of Udaipur, Rajasthan and Akshaya Gadgil of PNG Jewellery & Gems Pune.
All the participants thoroughly enjoyed the program which was conducted by Dr. Jayshree Panjikar, Mr. Aatish Panjikar and Mrs. R. Patankar. When asked about the course Debajit Goswami said that, “It was wonderful, we got to see and learn the new types of synthetics, their inclusions and how to identify them. Today, there are many treatments done on natural and synthetic gems, we could see these treated stones and actually learn how to identify them especially the treated synthetic ones”
